End of the road for PDS on KTM?

IS it the beginning of the end for the PDS rear-suspension system on KTMs? For his successful return to action on Sunday at the Maxxis round at Duns, Shaun Simpson gave a race debut to a KTM with linkage and the bike could make its GP debut in the hands of the Scottish rider at Lierop next weekend. It is possible that KTM could use the system on all of its factory bikes next summer prior to introducing it to the production line for 2011.
Commenting on Monday morning, KTM Off-Road sports director, Pit Beirer, said: I have not had chance to speak to Shaun yet, but it will be his decision whether or not to race the bike with linkage at Lierop. If he was happy with the bike yesterday, then that is what he will race at the GP.
Will the entire works team use bikes with linkage next year?
As yet no decision has been made. Shaun will continue to test and we must make a decision so that we can produce the new factory bikes before the tests in November. Whichever way the decision falls, all of the factory riders in both classes will use the same system either all with linkage or all with PDS.
