Fun in the Ashby sun
By TMX Archives on 4th Jun 09

FastEddyRacing has organised a fun event at the popular Ashby-de-la-Zouch venue, used for one of the Putoline XC rounds earlier this season.
Scheduled for June 14, the course will take in a host of varied terrains and features while giving riders a taste of proper X-Country style racing.
Paul Edmondson has stressed that this is a ‘fun' event, one for riders to simply enjoy with no pressure on them whatsoever.
The circuit is located around a mile from Junction 13 of the M42/ A42 and will be signposted from the junction.
The course will be very different from the one used at round three of the Putoline series, using other sections of this vast farm.
The race will start at 11am for all classes and the entry fee will be £40.
FOLLOWING that fun event, the fifth round of the Putoline X-Country Championship will run on June 28 at Robins Mountain, near Abegele, North Wales.
This is a tried and tested venue and is always popular with riders, so entries are expected to be good.
The course will be across steep Welsh hills with a woodland section or two thrown in for good measure plus a few fast sections to test all abilities.
This will be a critical point in the series with only two rounds remaining after this event. Many of the classes are still up for grabs, so points earned at Robins Mountain will be invaluable
