Devon get the GBXC cream with Tom Sagar

THE GBXC series really is in full flow now, as the biggest X-Country series in Britain moves its way down the country and visits the beautiful south Devon coastline and provide another top drawer venue at Preston Combe, Woodleigh, Kingsbridge (Postcode TQ7 4DL).
With all the classes still wide open and the racing just getting better at each round the event on June 7 really is shaping up to be a cracker.
The circuit is a true X-Country course with just about every thing to put a grin on the face of any off-road rider. A 7.5-mile lap will wind its way through green pastures to link twisty natural woodlands with some real technical and demanding sections within the estate's numerous stream beds and old rocky cart lanes.
A genuine 13 to 17-minute lap will be the order of the day.
The paddock and start area are superb with room to accommodate everyone in comfort whether that be in campers, caravans or those just turning up on the day.
With a great weather forecast for the next ten-days, the Devonshire countryside will certainly be the place to be on June 7.
Once again the Pro riders are supporting this series to the hilt – only the BEC can match the names that line-up at the GBXC, and the TV cameras will be capturing all the weekends action along with the return of commentator Nik Fisk, who will be keeping pit crews and spectators up to speed with the race action as it unfolds with his race info from the live results screen.
The Pro series leader is Husaberg's Tom Sagar.
The huge Clubman, Sportsman, Veteran and Novice ranks will as always, make up the back-bone of the GBXC series and they have signed up in their droves to support the series.
The venue opens to the public from Friday, June 5 at 3pm, and the course will be open for inspection (on foot) from Saturday, June 6, at 10am.
Entries are still available and non registered riders are most welcome.
