Spaniard Xavi Galindo has been signed up by Husaberg to concentrate his efforts on the international Extreme Enduro races and the Indoor Enduro World Cup. He switches from KTM to Husaberg with immediate effect.

The 28-year-old rider, born in Masalcoreig (Lleida), has won several Spanish Enduro and X-Country championships, will join the Husaberg factory squad alongside his compatriot Oriol Mena, Joakim Ljunggren, Valtteri Salonen, Calle Sjoo and Benoit Fortunato. However, un-like his team-mates, Xavi's first priority will not be the WEC but the International Extreme Enduro races, in which he has already demonstrated his competitiveness, as well as the Indoor Enduro World Cup. Nevertheless, he is also planning to participate in the first two rounds of the 2010 WEC season in Spain and Portugal and in the Spanish Enduro Championship.

Despite having suffered an injury-affected 2009 season, especially a right shinbone break when he was leading the Red Bull Romaniacs race in August, Galindo is considered as one of the physically strongest Spanish enduro riders. Coming from trials and motocross background, he has been on the enduro scene since 2005, when he achieved his best results. Galindo has an enviable technical riding ability which allows him to carry an incredibly fast pace in the toughest of riding terrain. This weekend, he will make his international Husaberg debut at round two of the World Indoor Enduro Cup in Genoa, Italy, aboard the Husaberg FE 390 alongside team-mates Joakim Ljunggren and Oriol Mena.
