Gas what? We have the specs

LAST week we printed pics of the exciting 2011 Gas Gas TXT PRO but they arrived just as we were going to press and neither we nor Gas Gas UK had any specs just then! It was more than worth printing the pics though and we can now bring you the list of specs changes and these are printed below.
As expected, the 2011 PRO models feature the all new chassis as debuted by the 2010 Raga Rep. This features a completely new treatment to the rear end with a neat, tubular upper rear shock mount and more use of micro-fusion parts. These are the lightweight cast lugs, like for the engine mounts, welded to the frame tubes that gives the chassis such a neat finish.
The new chassis treatment has allowed Gas Gas to incorporate an all-new air-box and equally new exhaust system and the end result really ought to be the best Gasser trials bike ever.
The air box features an all new downward facing air intake which really should to stop virtually all water-splash ingress. And if any does splash in the box is designed so that water should avoid the air filter and drain to the bottom of the box. Time will tell but you should have to do something really nasty like completely submerging the bike before you have water in the airbox.
The exhaust, centre box/tailpipe, is all-new and now features a replaceable end cap on the tail-pipe should you damage it in an off.
One final point, the Gas Gas studio pictures released do NOT show that the rear wheel rim to be fitted to the 2011 PROs will actually be the latest flanged-type Morad. This means that the spokes fit externally to the flange and there is no need to mess with rubber sealing bands. So gone are the days of your rear tyre losing air pressure through those bands.
Stir in the jazzy S3 titanium front pipe, S3 two-piece cylinder head and other new goodies and it is a mighty impressive package.
