The third and fourth rounds iofthe ACU Luscombe Suzuki Leeds British Sidecar Trials champs will take place at Bovey Tracey and Tregurgy this weekend, March 2/3, courtesy of the West of England and Camborne Redruth clubs.
Andy Cheeseman will run the W0E event on Saturday, which will centre on the Riverside Inn, starting at 9.30am.
Competitors will then travel on to St Austell and the Garker Woods near Tregurg for Sunday's contest.
Championship sponsor and multi British Champion Robin Luscombe will compete with his son Sam.
The Luscombes head the championship points tables with Manx riders Nigel Crellin and Chris Molyneux.
The threat from the Isle of Man will not happen this weekend as none of the main crews have entered the West Country trials.
But add in Rochester father and son duo, Rupert and Chris Kimber and the pot will boil.
Reading Inter contenders Daryl Dale and girlfriend Hannah Etherington managed a double victory in the opening two-day Peveril club's Isle of Man event in February and now sit on a 40-point championship class lead.
The Clubman class could provide the shocks this weekend.
Robbie Head and Aaron Jacobs lead the series but the Rochester team will be pressurised by Mark Kemp and Ian Allaway as well as Yorkies Nigel Scott and Jay Ashley- Hall.
A trio of West Country crews could pose a threat, if they have entered.
Newquay's RCM-backed Michael Jewell, crewed by Graham Clark, plus Cullompton's Paul Churchill and passenger Kevin Parnell could just rock the boat for Head and Jacobs.
The jokers in the pack are Portsmouth's Mick Treagus and Steve Gould who missed the Isle of Man openers as they did not have a sidecar outfit prepared for the events.
All is set for a weekend of fun and games for the chairs.
n MEANWHILE the Stratford upon Avon club is running its 85th Colmore Cup National, which is effectively the opening round of the ACU S3-Parts Clubman championship, starting at Shipston-on-Stour.
The Colmore unfortunately had to be abandoned last year, brought to a halt by safety issues caused by heavy fog – but this hasn't stopped an entry of well-over 100 eager to ride this historic, long running event.
Winner in 2011, Ross Danby will be looking to repeat the performance, this time on Steve Saunders' Jotagas.
But there will be plenty of worthy opposition, especially from the Gas Gas camp with Alexz Wigg, Dan Thorpe and Sam Haslam leading the way.
West Country ace Ricky Wiggins is batting for Sherco, while you can't rule out Sam Connor and his Beta.
The trial is being run in the reverse order this year with a single man-made sub at Fosseway Hire getting the trial underway and Warners being the final group.
Start time is a nice early 9am, from the Sheldon Bosley Hub, Pittway Ave, Shipston on Stour, CV36 4DQ.
There are plenty of groups of sections in the single-lap event but if you are spectating PLEASE get along to the start as some of the groups are not suitable for spectators and as TMX was going to press it was not known if the Dovedale group could be included due to the extremely wet ground conditions.
So there you have it, a cracking weekend of National action. Read all about it in next week's issue!
