Forced to stage a come-from-behind charge to the front of the Propack Hawk battled Australian Kearney bar-to-bar during the closingstages with both riders determined to claim their first win of theseason.

With nothing to separate the pair after nearly three-hours of racingHawk made a decisive move just metres from the finish to snatch the winwhile Kearney was taken to hospital with severe dehydration.

With Kawasaki privateer Garret Edmisten finishing fourth to maintainhis series points lead, Britain's David Knight was fifth. Switchingback to a four-stroke, having competed on a two-stroke at the openingtwo rounds of the series, Knight's race started in the best possibleway but then went downhill as a problem with his fuel tank breatherhose saw his bike stop twice before half-distance.
