Hawkstone set for final showdown...

The famous Hawkstone Park circuit in Shropshire will be ripped and ready for the final round of the ACU Maxxis British Motocross Championship in 2011.

Although both titles are already decided, there should be no shortage of great racing as there are many positions still up for grabs including second place in the MX1 class where there will be a good scrap between Kristian Whatley on the Samsung Yamaha and Martin Barr on the Boost KTM.

Mel Pocock will be fighting hard to finish third in the MX2 class as Zach Osborne is out of action, but Bryan Mackenzie will push all the way to overhaul Mel on his LPE Kawasaki.

Recently crowned 2011 champions Brad Anderson (450 PAR Honda) and Arnaud Tonus (250 Bike It Cosworth WW Yamaha) will want to show their supremacy and will not be taking it easy.

In stark contrast to last year's washout, Hawkstone is set to bask in sunshine this weekend are temperatures are set to soar.

The racing surface has been ripped deeper than usual and will give the riders a touch of the ‘old Hawkstone' surface.

With many riders still looking to secure a ride for next year you can be assured the racing in going to be fantastic throughout the field.

With the Veteran class title up for grabs this is an event you cannot afford to miss – the last great race of 2011.

Entry is £20 for adults and £5 for kids.

Practice starts at 9.15am with racing set to commence at 12am.

Hawkstone Park is situated north of Shrewsbury, just off the A49 near to the village of Hopton. It can easily be reached from the M54 motorway.
