On the weekend of October 15/16, Warley Wasps SSC will host what has become an annual race meeting at the Drayton Manor venue, at Gailey, Wolverhampton (Post Code ST16 9AF).

The event is being run to raise funds for Callum Loveridge a promising schoolboy member of the club who is paralysed below his shoulders following a BMX accident in February 2010. (You can read his story at – www.cal4u.co.uk).

Last year the event drew over 170 entrants across Auto, Junior 65, SW85, BW85, Senior, AMX and Vets/ Twin-shock classes. The latter category may not have been the fastest – but it was certainly the most entertaining!

With everyone having such a good day last time round, it is anticipated that more riders will enter this year for this worthy cause.

Camping is available so everyone can enjoy the weekend, with a bouncy castle and quads available from Saturday morning. There will be entertainment with live bands and a disco along with a motocross memorabilia auction on Saturday evening, before everyone gets down and dirty racing on Sunday.

Entries for the meeting are now available by visiting the all-new Warley Wasps website – www.warleywasps.co.uk – and either book in on-line. Alternatively, just ring either 07986-184030 and 07971-179672.

There will be a number of trade stands, including the popular ‘Cal4u Merchandise' stand where the latest tee-shirts and hoodies in 2011/2012 colours, bearing a logo designed by Callum, and other associated merchandise will be available. All proceeds from this stand go to Cal's fund.

Callum, his sister, Issy, and mum, Kim, will be at the meeting cheering on dad, Ade, as he competes on Cal's KTM 150SX in the Vets/ Twin-shock race.

There will be a chance to chat to Cal and get up to date with his progress. He has had a spell at Stoke Mandeville this year undergoing intense physio and hydrotherapy to help him lead as normal a life as posible.
