In the NETT

THE NETT club held its presentation night at the Newcastle Metro Centre Marriott Hotel with over 250 riders, teams, sponsors, supporters and family members in attendance.
Almost all class champions managed to make the event and Paul Anderson and his ever-suffering but supportive wife, Dawn, brought along Jim Fiddy, the original club founder from nearly 20 years ago.
With entertainment for the younger members in the side bar and the now standard jovial abuse in the main room, an enjoyable night was had by all and the committee wish to thank Matty Bruce for his extreme generosity in sponsoring all the trophies presented to the 2008 class winners.
A special mention must also be made to the recovering Robert Elliott, whose positive attitude in the face of adversity is a lesson to everyone
The committee would also like to thank all sponsors and helpers who have stood by and helped out in 2008 as the crunch started to bite: Keith Knowles at KIK, Anderson Suzuki, Matty Bruce, Brian Forster Fencing, Ian Neill of Neill Bros Garage, Duncan and Janice at Jade Haulage, Mr Hellewell and family, Richard Cole and ProPrep, Bill Smith and Filtec, L Whyte Crane Hire, Rob Swinbank and Motul Oils, Telford Plant Hire, L&G Plant Hire, Tim Dickinson and Rojo Properties, the Tordoff family, Karl Robinson and Filpac, A1 trophies and ADB Photography.
