DESPITE the recent bad weather, work on the course for Broadhembury MC's forthcoming Brass Monkeys Enduro at Huntsham, near Tiverton, is progressing well.

The club has been concentrating on the special test, which we're told will be a test for Sportsman and Championship competitors alike!

At present the organisers are expecting the Championship class to take around ten-minutes to complete a test, which starts with some tighter forestry going before moving into a 12-acre stubble field, which will be marked out motocross-style. Riders then re-enter the forestry for some more open tracks which lead to the finish. The total lap length is reckoned to be 22-miles.

The lap will include a tight check which will be in the region of 20-minutes. This should give the top classes something to get their teeth into during the

later laps, if they wish to remain clean.

In addition it is hoped to give the Championship and Expert classes ‘back-to-back' tests on the final lap. This could mean a total of around 40-minutes of test times, which will give riders much needed practice for BEC events!

The event will include road-work, so machines will need to be fully road-legal.

Entries for the event, scheduled for February 14, are filling fast and WILL close on February 6, so get your entry in now!
