Jacks are diamonds

STRONG winds greeted 75 riders for the third round of the British Youth A and B trials championship hosted by the Otter Vale motorcycle club at Wolversleigh Farm in the heart of the East Devon countryside.
A 2.5-mile lap of 13 sections to be completedthree times was the challenge facing the competitors, which included amixture of flint gullies, banks, exposed tree roots and the occasionallog step. The day saw some great rides from all competitors with everchanging weather conditions, making the sections change lap on lap.
The B class started at section one, while the Aclass started at section nine. Section nine had a tricky exit up asteep bank with a nasty root waiting to catch out any unwary rider.
The A class battle was between Jack Challoner,Joshua Woods and Ricky Wiggins. Challoner and Woods started well withcleans on sections nine and ten, while Wiggins had a disaster, fivingthe aforementioned root exit on section nine. Woods finished the halflap on three marks, one ahead of Challoner, with Wiggins having anightmare ending up on 12.
