Jamie won it Hall

PAUL Winrow mounted on a Winrow Racing Honda won round two of the QRA ACU British Quad Cross-Country Championship.
That's nothing unusual! I hear you say, but what was unusual was Winrow didn't have it all his own way as he had a real scrap with a technical challenging track, and a very fast and determined Jason Wildman (MKM Suzuki).
The organisers found a new venue for round two at Little Brickhill, just outside Milton Keynes and along with some tricky wooded sections, the majority of the long track was visible from the race paddock, making it very entertaining for those watching.
Winrow got the holeshot in the Pro class but handed the lead to Wildman early in the event after making a mistake in the woods.
At the end of the first hour it was Wildman ahead of David Baldwin and Martin Benbow, with Winrow back in seventh after an early pit-stop for clean goggles.
With two-hours gone, Winrow had pushed hard and was closing in on Wildman, and with two laps to go he made the pass to snatch victory, with these two fast riders being the only riders on the lead lap.
Stefan Murphy made a late charge from tenth at the two hour mark to finish third, one place ahead of Justin Reid.
Liam Ryland was in control of the Expert class right from the start with only Jon McKnight staying with him as they were a lap up on the rest after just one-hour of racing.
Ben James took over second spot for a while when the pit-stops were going on, but in the end Ryland took the class win from McKnight and James.
Jamie Hall passed Sam Barrett at around the halfway stage to claimed the Clubman win by over a lap, while Andy Mellor won the Stock category and Simon Lang the Auto/ 4x4 class.
