A NEW UK Enduro race support service named KTM Off-Road Racing has been created by Julian Stevens who has supported many KTM factory riders for several years in the BEC and International events, helping KTM win quite a few national and international enduro championships along the way.
Known as KORR and supported by KTM UK and several leading companies, this new set-up will give direct technical and race support to current British Enduro 1 champion Daryl Bolter (Premier Bikes), Welsh champion Greg Evans (Wayne Mounter Motorcycles) and young Expert rider James Giddings (Premier Bikes) and these pilots will be focusing on the British Enduro Championship (BEC) and the new ACU British Enduro Sprint Championship for 2010.
Also assisted by KTM UK in 2010 will be Paul Bolton (Eurotek), Euan McConnell (Triple-D Motosport) and Edward Jones (ET James). Also a certain David Knight (Farioli KTM) will again be the rider everyone wants to beat in major British events riding a KTM 530 EXC-R. With the ever growing number of quality off-road events in the UK, KTM believe it is important that it is represented by the best riders to compete in all types of event from Enduro to Extreme and X-Country racing.
KTM will field riders in every class of the BEC in 2010 and is aiming to claim a clean sweep of the E1, E2 and E3 classes.
In addition, the new British Enduro Sprint Championship with full ACU-accreditation and a British title on offer is of major importance to the KORR team. This new concept of enduro racing has already been proven to provide hugely exciting action for competitors and spectators alike. In the pioneering Elite Sprint event, staged in Mid-Wales during August this year, KTM racers Daryl Bolter and Greg Evans dominated the day's action and will return next year to defend their reputation with the whole KORR team.
Julian Stevens: I am really excited about next season, KTM UK has generously invested more into UK enduro racing for 2010, and with help from other sponsors it means that I can provide even better bikes and support for our riders. We have an improved program for training and testing, and we are confident that our riders will be even more competitive in the new year.
More about the team, its sponsors and who will ride each class will be released in the new year in conjunction with a new and exciting website about KTM Off-Road Racing.
