WINNER of the opening four rounds of the Metzeler British Enduro Championship, David Knight, will be the man everyone wants to beat at the fifth and penultimate round of the series at Dyfi Forest in Wales, this Saturday and Sunday.

Manxman Knight, on his factory KTM, is leading the Championship by 39-points from fellow KTM ace Daryl Bolter (winner of the Welsh Two-Day) with Suzuki's Paul Edmondson third. If he wins at Dyfi then he will add the Metzeler British Enduro Championship to the ACU British Sprint Enduro Championship he has already won in 2010.

Other riders that can challenge for the podium and are sure to be fighting hard to finish high-up the results sheet include Edward Jones, Euan McConnell, Greg Evans, Rheinallt Davies, Gethin Price, Andrew Edwards, Tudur Davies and David Lloyd-Jones. More than 150 riders have already entered so there will be plenty of action.

Each lap at the Dyfi is 45km of tough forestry going, with one special test per lap of approximately 4km. The special test is a mouth-watering mixture of motocross, enduro and extreme going with some good viewing areas.

Based on Forestry and farmland the circuit is designed to be challenging for the Championship, Expert, Clubmen, Vets A and Vets B riders taking part. There are refreshments, camping and showers for competitors and plenty of other camping sites in the area.

The pinnacle of British Enduro competition will start at 9am on Saturday, August 14, finishing at 5.50pm and starts again at 9am on Sunday and finishes at 3.30pm. The start is post code SY20 8QJ, Bryn Melin, Llanwrin, Machynlleth. Spectators are welcome to attend and entry is free. For more information contact Vic Madeley on 01686-670596.

If you want to see a top class genuine enduro to British Championship spec then this is the one for you.
