THIRTEEN brave brits headed to Holland for the fifth round of the European 65cc, 85cc and MX2 Junior Championships.
While there were no representatives in the smallest class, ten 85cc stars and three MX2 boys made the trip and gave it their all through a tough all-day Saturday qualifying system. Unfortunately Brady Ward and Mickey Eccle in the 85cc didn't make it through to Sunday's race programme
The 85cc group was extremely tough, although all the lads performed superbly in the deep Dutch sand. Sunny Thompson rode well for sixth, Nathan Watson a stunning eighth overall, Ryan Houghton just behind in ninth, Ben Watson came in 15th and Euro debutant Luke Norris grabbed 24th.
Over in European Junior MX2 it was a case of who was going to finish second after home town hero Jeffrey Herlings promptly won the overall.
Josh Waterman finished in 13th overall, while Marcus Lee Soper held his top 20 start throughout to finish overall 21st. Tom Kelly was unlucky an had to pull out after crashing early on.
The series now moves onto Bielstein in Germany were British honour will be upheld by ACU Academy boys Ryan Houghton and Josh Waterman.
