A HOST of registered Grand Prix riders headed by world number six, Josh Coppins have signed up for the 2010 ACU Maxxis Motocross Championship which kicks off at Little Silver, adjacent to the M5 motorway at Exeter, on the last day of this month.

In a season where teams are cutting back, the series has already attracted more top flight riders than in 2009. The registrations have now closed and both the MX1 and MX2 classes have an abundance of riders who could topple defending champions Brad Anderson (MX1) and Stephen Sword (MX2) from their respective classes at the end of the season. Indeed, with Sword moving to the MX1 class, there will be a new MX2 champion at the end of the season.

Again just concentrating on the MX1 world and domestic class, the mighty CAS Honda team field two new riders, with last year's runner-up, Gareth Swanepoel being backed up by Evgeny Bobryshev, who is expected to continue his run of solid performances from the end of last season.
