Mitchell training in Dunkirk
By TMX Archives on 8th Feb 07

WITH the Le Touquet three-hour beach-race set for this Saturday (February 10) and a few brave British soldiers braved the arctic conditions last week to get some sand training in at the popular Dunkirk complex in Northern France, writes CHRIS MURPHY.
The facility is just 30-minutes from Calais ferry terminal and has two tracks with one being designed for quads. The lap is about three minutes and includes jumps, whoops etc. The track is deep sand, which after a few hours roughens up pretty badly and so is ideal for training. There are showers on site and the track is regularly graded - all for the amazing cost of just 10 Euro per day.
