With the Express Insurance BYMX Championship series about to reach the half-way point, all thoughts are now being focused on the weekend of June 19/20 for the fourth round of this year's challenge. The meeting will be held at the picturesque fast and flowing Dean Moor circuit near Workington, hosted by West Cumbria MCC.

With a different overall winner at Leuchars, Norley and Mepal, the Junior 65's have been the racing revelation of the year so far, and at Dean Moor anything is possible once again with a multitude of likely race winners. At present in the championship standings, Albie Wilkie holds the points advantage over Taylor Hammal and Keenan Hird but you can fully expect the sparks to fly all the way through the top ten as Messrs Drew Warren, Tom Hume, James McFayden, Jake Edey, Nathan Bache, Jamie Osborne and the rest rip it up.

In complete contrast to the 65's, Oli Osmaston has won all three rounds so far and consequently holds a commanding lead in the Small-wheel 85's. But all of that will come to an end in Cumbria with Oli unfortunately not being on the start line following a recent back garden trampoline accident that resulted in a broken arm. It's another tough break for Oli, that's for sure, and hopefully he will be back at round five to re assert his championship effort. But there now has to be a fresh face on the top step of the podium. Both Robert Yates and Josh Gilbert will fancy their chances in the Cumbrian dirt as will Sid Evans and Conrad Mewse as they all look to improve their Championship positions.

Ben Watson, Ben Howell, Jack Kelly, Adam Sterry, James Harrison, Connor Clark and Liam Garland. Seven great reasons to watch the Big-wheels and quite honestly it could be anyone of them winning. Watson and Howell started the season like an Express train but with Jack Kelly winning at Mepal and course possibly favouring the Honda four-stroke crew, this division is impossible to call and could well end up being the pick of the bunch.

In the Youth Open section, series leader Connor Walkley will have to be at his very best if he is to elbow the mounting challenge from Nathan Watson. Connor put in a storming performance at this venue last year and he will need a repeat if he is to hang on to his championship advantage currently being six points in front of Nathan. Tom Kelly ran away with all five race wins at Mepal and it will be more than interesting to see if he can keep his momentum going. Currently in the championship Gary Sharp holds fourth place behind Walkley, Watson and Kelly with Luke Norris in fifth and Ryan McLean in six.
