THE 2007 CCM backed ACU British MMX Championships bursts into life again at Matchams Park this Sunday, April 1, when the famous Hampshire track will play host to the opening round of the British Four-stroke, PAR Homes British Under-21, and the British Sidecar Championships.

Matchams has played host to big championship events for a greatnumber of years and will provide the perfect setting to kick-off whatlooks set to be a close fought season across the board.

Pioneer Yamaha team leader Brad Anderson is back to defend hisBritish Four-stroke crown and will be hoping to stamp his authority onthe championship early on as he did in 2006. Brad will undoubtedlystart as favourite to retain the crown, but an exceptional line-up willbe out to make life difficult, however, as alongside Anderson on thestart gate will be Mark Hucklebridge on the Motoxtreme Kawasaki, JordanRose in the resurrected Albion KTM team, Danny and Jody Smyth on theWiseco Hondas and John May, this year mounted aboard a Meredith Suzuki, among others.
