Nixon takes Driff win

DIRTBIKE-Traxs ventured in to the world of quads at the weekend with a small quad enduro event at Driffield, east Yorkshire.
Running on the back of True Grit Off-Road's highly successful solo Hare Scramble, the Quad test event was deemed a great success using a course that averaged 18-minutes per lap with five-plantations linked by open grass land and chalk roads.
The course had been widened so the woodland tracks were fast and flowing. Davey Nixon won the Expert class with seven-laps to his credit. Mark Lakeland stamped his authority on the Clubman class, while 'Robobog' Robinson wrestled a mighty 750 Kawasaki V-twin to take victory in the 4x4 category.
The DirtBike-Traxs team admit that they learned a lot from this first event. John Kerwin said at the end: "We have got the Quad bug. Robobog is off to get a race enduro quad as he see's it as the way forward. We are starting to prepare the Ellington Banks course at Ripon for the November 9 event. Please book early for this one by ringing 07914-777534.
