Not bad for a first timer!

PAUL Winrow was a fair bet for the Weston win, but the odds were a little less obvious for my bet with Quadzilla sales manager, Henry Maplethorpe, in the 4x4 class.
As it turned out, youth and fitness couldn't match age and experience and I thrashed him. Well, I beat him by a lap at least.
Actually, to be fair, if I really must, I thought Henry did pretty good for a first timer and he certainly waved two fingers at those who sneered at his Chinese made Quadzilla 500 4WD.
He was in the top half of the 365 finishers at 181 on a bog standard machine, and that alone shows how the better Chinese quads, like the Quadzilla, have come on in recent years.
Remember, they used to sneer at Japanese motorcycles when they first landed over here.
The Chinese are on the way as well!
