THE third round of the NETT Quad championship was held at the picturesque Dean Moor Track in west Cumbria, with another excellent entry of over 140 quads.
The Championship class attracted some top British riders. Paul Holmes had chosen Cumbria instead of Poland, and rode excellently to win all three races and the overall. Mark Watson and Wayne Tyson battled hard in races one and two and took a second apiece.
Race three saw Holmes fly away at the front followed by Watson in second, giving him the overall place.
The Support class saw a welcomed return to racing for James Hellewell. Under strict instructions, he rode sensibly all day and with a third and two wins he took the overall. Kris Hiley had a great first race win and two consistent rides to give him second overall followed by Garry Richardson in third.
The Over 40s class saw another three way tussle between Andy Britton, Siomon Walton, and Mark Wolfenden. Britton came out on top with two wins and a third.
In the 250 Four-stroke class, Andy Lawton was on great form with two wins and a second giving him the overall. Tyler Soar, who is improving every meeting, claimed second, and Lee Lawton third.
Sam Coulter once again dominated the 200 Modified class with three straight wins, whilst the ever consistent Ryan Turner took second with young Andy Britton Jn third.
Christian Morris was on good form winning the 200 Standard class with Luke Gilboy in second and Daniel Fisher-Lowrey in third.
Jack Straughan once again rode excellently to win the 100cc Geared class with young Murray Graham in second and James Swinbank in third.
The 100 cc Modified class saw some good racing
with Irish lad, Alexander Thompson coming out on top from the Cobra mounted Jamie Swan and Regan Carmichael. Brad Swinbank had a great day in the 100 Standard class claiming the overall from Scott Pounder and Reece Fisher-Lowery in third.
In the 50cc Modified group the very stylish Ryan McLeish took three straight wins to give him the overall. Mathew O'Neill claimed second and Sam Williamson in third.
