Phil's on the Gas!

AFTER seven years on Shercos, Philip Alderson finally fancied a change and has taken delivery of a 2009 model 300 Gas Gas. He took delivery of the shiny new Gasser last Friday and rode it in the White Rose National on Sunday.
Philip, a National winner on Majesty and Yamaha in his younger days, has won the Scott Trial on four occasions and is a bit of a legend in his home Yorkshire patch. At the age of 43 the Askrigg motor engineer can still make an impact in major trials, as he did with the Sherco 3.2 four-stroke up to last week.
Philip told T+MX News on Sunday: I just fancied a change. I have ridden Sherco for seven years and have enjoyed the period. My daughter Robyn rides a Gas Gas at National level so we now have two machines with a similiar maintenance schedule.
