Preview: Red Bull Elite Youth Cup - Rd 3 Whitby

Round three of the Red Bull Elite Youth Cup takes place this weekend at Skelder Bank in Whitby, and the talent on display in each of these classes certainly suggests that the future is bright for the sport.
In the 65cc class it was the turn of Twisted 7s Harry Kimber to show what he could do preferring the hard pack terrain of Landrake to the deep sand of Fatcat. Alexander Brown is always one to watch and will be looking to regain the coveted red plate from series leader Jed Etchells who has demonstrated that consistency pays off.
The Small-wheel class has seen some amazing battles at each round and two different overall winners. There are plenty of riders capable of winning but the main battle will be between the top three of Jordan Eccles, Sid Evans and Jay Hague.
The last round of the Big-wheel class brought a new winner in Fraser Viner who really took the challenge to the talented Ben Watson. These two look set for another battle at Whitby with Viner hoping to make amends for his poor Sunday performance at Landrake.
The Rookie class has seen four separate race winners over the two rounds in Nathan Watson, James Dunn, Jordan Divall and Llyodd Pettett. Dunn has been the most consistent giving him the red plate going into round three only a mere 20 points clear of Watson. It will be interesting to see who comes out on top after round three!
