Truthan Farm, near Truro, is the venue for round five of the SMCA British Clubman Sidecar Championship on June 5. A full line-up of sidecars comprises 24 of the registered riders, including five Cornish teams, and all but one other are also local teams.

The event, The Carland Cracker Motocross, is being hosted by Cornwall MXC and if last year is anything to go by a warm welcome awaits all the teams heading west. The only thing, which they will not want repeated is the wet weather of 2010!

So far this season the racing has been exciting with only one meeting having an overall winner with a trio of race wins. The championship is currently headed by Neil and Michael Franks who are 29-points ahead of Nick Bowers/ Pete Batt and Dave Goddard/ Scott Cooper who are tyed on 205 points. Seemond Stephens/ Simon Rogers are the top Cornish team, in ninth, followed by Wayne Delves/ Darren Elcock in 14th.

The action isn't just limited to sidecars, with quads and seven solo classes all in the programme and spectators have a real bargain with entry only £5 per car or £2 for those on foot.

Camping is available on Saturday night, with a beer tent and hog roast to fortify those who've had a long journey!
