QuadX dates
By TMX Archives on 29th Dec 09

IN the run up to the festive period the ACU eventually finalised the dates for the 2010 ACU British QuadX Championship, admitting that it had been difficult to pull together mainly due to the increase in European Champion-ship rounds, which has impacted on the available dates and circuits in the UK.
As a result of this, the Quad championship has been removed from the former British MMX series and in future the Quads will stand alone with the full support of the Quad organising clubs. In future some rounds of the Quad series may be held in conjunction with a solo event.
According to the ACU, the new arrangements for the Quad series will allow Quad sport to develop within the organising Quad clubs, especially with regard to the club Youth riders, who will benefit from racing alongside the adult stars on a regular basis.
A newly formed Quad Working Group' will be more influential in future by providing the rules, the dates, event support and development for Quad racing in the UK through the ACU Motocross Committee.
The Quad Working Group will comprise member clubs NETT, NORA-MX, QRA and the QRS with an open invitation to other ACU Quad racing clubs to join them in promoting the future of British Quad racing.
The dates and venues for the 2010 ACU British QuadX Championship are as follows:
May 8/9 Quad Racing Ireland at Porters Pit, Desertmartin, NI.
Jun 27 Broadhembury & DMC at Wrangway, nr Wellington, Somerset.

Aug 15 Quad Racing Scotland at Comerton Farm, Leuchars, Fife.
Sep 18/19 NORA-MX at Culham MP, Station Road, Culham, Abingdon
The final rounds, on September 18/19, will include the ACU British Youth Quad Championship. Subject to discussions at the next meeting of the ACU Quad Working Group, the Youth series may have a further round added.
