By TMX Archives on 2nd Jan 08

THE 2008 QRA Margate Big Sky Beach Races on February 23/24 are taking shape. Tony Nash has had another meeting with the good folk of Margate and sorted new parking, paddock and work areas. The track will have a different layout withmore jumps parallel to the promenade, providing an even better spectacle for spectators, supporters and riders.
The event is over both days, with the overall winner coming from the combined races which, at the first event last year, was won by Stef Murphy in the Pro Quad class and Robert Hanks in Expert Quad. Each class will have a minimum of three races each day. A Grand Final - which was won by Paul Holmes in 2007 - will again take place on the Sunday.
Regs and hotel listings are available at www.qrauk.com or can sent out on request by telephoning 07774-434468. There will be plenty of camping space, plus trade stands, fair-ground rides and lots more to be announced soon.
This is a great fun weekend to bump start the 2008 season.
The QRA will return to Margate for a second event in 2008 on November 22/23, so keep that weekend on your wall planner free too.
The QRA Endurance season will again get under way with the ‘Shakedown' with two two-hour races on March 16.
