WELL, following last weekend's result at the Thames MCC's Thames Trial, the seventh round of the Colin Appleyard sponsored series, the battle for the 2007 British Trials Championship is going down to the wire - which means a potentially brilliant finale at the Bradford club's Bradford Trial at Skyrakes, near Skipton on Sunday, October 7.
Shaun Morris took the win at Hook Woods on Sunday,thanks to a brilliant final lap which he rode absolutely clean, toclaim the maximum 20 points and with occasional British Championshiprider James Dabill pushing reigning champ and current series leaderGraham Jarvis down to third, Shaun has closed the gap right down tojust two points!
And so as far as the Bradford trial goes, it is very much a case ofWinner Takes All! We have a classic battle in prospect with young Shaunlooking for his first Championship, while battle-hardened vet Grahamlooks to keep his grip on the number one shirt.
