Yorkshires Jonathan Richardson, who switched from four-stroke Montesa to two-stroke Ossa power just a couple of weeks ago, clocked-up his first win, first time out in competition on the Spanish two-stroke last Sunday.

Jonny took his Ossa up to the north east and a run out in the South Shields club's Harland Cup trial which took place at Oxenlaw.

Out of the cracking entry of 100 starters Jonathan easily bagged the win dropping just three marks compared to the 18 of runner-up Michael Phillipson.

This was of course just a practise run for Jonathan who has his sights set on an International season having spent almost all of 2012 sidelined with a slow to heal knee injury that had needed intensive surgery.

Jonathan is now really keen to get out to Spain for some intensive practise sessions and get to grips with his factory supplied bike with which he is planning on attacking the World Championships.
