The Richmond Motor Club host the sixth round of the ACU Luscombe Suzuki Leeds national Class A and B Youth Trials Championship at Low Row in scenic Swaledale on Sunday where 40 contenders will enjoy a competitive visit to Scott Trial country.

On the broader scene Jack Price and Dan Peace may hold the ace cards at present standing on 94 and 97 championship points apiece, but they have 26 Andrew Brown sections to ride on the mile long Old Mill trials course.

In terms of breathing space Price has just 17 points in hand over charging Luke Walker who in turn is one up on an inspired Welsh Youth Champion, Ian Roberts. Luke Walker and Roberts are looking at a thirteen drop score but the dangerous trio of Billy Bolt and Chester brother Dec and Brad Bullock are not. Bolt missed the first round and the Bullock boys did not ride the fifth round because of a lost entry letter. If the ‘Likely Lads' can make the podium the finale at Bracken Rocks on October 7 will be interesting.

In Class B Dan Peace is 22 marks up on South Shropshire club member Tom Minta, and 26 on Lyn rider Tom Hooper. Peace has a 17 to drop while Minta and Hooper could be on a lucky 13.

Section timing will be 90 seconds. Minders will travel on foot. Only competitors and trials officials will be permitted to ride the course. Time allowance will be six hours. Start time is 10.00 hrs with a ninety second starting interval.
