Ricky Nett's a win

THE fourth and fifth rounds of the Nett Quad Championship were held at the excellent new Blue Barns Moto Parc, Castle-side, County Durham. Heavy rain overnight meant that conditions were very muddy on Saturday morning but by the end of the day the track was perfect.

The Championship class saw a real good battle withtop British riders Ricky Tordoff and Lindsey Duke absolutely flying,with Paul Holmes chasing after them. Andy Britton was quick off theline with two holeshots in the first two races, but engine problemsstruck after race two. Tordoff took three wins with Duke taking threeseconds and Holmes three thirds.

The Over 40 class was a good battle between the Banshee stalwarts Ian Neill and Brian Forster with Neill coming out on top.

The Support class saw some close racing all daywith three different race winners. Steve Pinder lead from start tofinish in the first race, Ian Tait, coming back to form and winning thesecond, and championship leader, John Chew, winning the third. Theoverall win though went to Ryan Irving.

The Over 40 Support class saw a close battlebetween Gary Tomlinson and Steve Pinder with Tomlinson taking his firstoverall win with two firsts and a second. Karl Robinson was third.

The 250 Modified class once again went to youngCumbrian Wayne Tyson, keeping his unbeaten run in the championship.Laura Dunsmore rode well all day and was second on her newly acquiredHonda.

The Modified Blaster class was a two-horse racebetween the unbeaten Gavin Dodds and Andy Lawton. Gavin took all threewins and Andy three seconds. Stefan Puska finished third.

The Standard Blaster class went to Abi Walton, whois really looking good, with three wins. Young Cumbrian lad, JordonThornborrow, is also improving every meeting in only his second seasonof racing and took second overall with Robbie Elliot in third.

Jordan Corrigan once again dominated the 100ccModified class with three wins but his teammate, Andy Britton Jnr, wasthe quickest off the line taking all three holeshots. Jamie Swan andCallum Corrigan battled it out for second overall with Jamie coming outon top.

In the 100cc Standard class, Mark Powell won tworaces, but Scott Pounder kept up his good form with a win and twoseconds to take first overall. Jens Puska was consistent all day takingsecond overall with Scottish lass, Zoe Neill third.

The Cobra class was won by Lee Lawton from JackStraughan and Harry Johnson, while 50cc Modi-fied once again went tolocal lad Regan Carmichael.

The 50cc Standard class went to the impressiveHarry Forster after a good battle with Matthew O'Neill, Harry takingall three wins with a great pass on the finishing straight in the lastrace. Owen Akister finished third.

200cc Modified: 1 Gavin Dodds, 2 Andy Lawton, 3 Stefan Puska.

200cc Standard: 1 Abi Walton, 2 Jordon Thornborrow, 3 Robert Elliot.

Cobra: 1 Lee Lawton, 2 Jack Straughan, 3 Harry Johnson.

100cc Modified: 1 Jordan Corrigan, 2 Jamie Swan, 3 Callum Corrigan.

100cc Standard: 1 Scott Pounder, 2 Jens Puska, 3 Zoe Neill.

50cc Modified: 1 Regan Carmichael.

50cc Standard: 1 Harry Forster, 2 Matthew O'Neill, 3 Owen Akister.
