TOMMY Searle will now NOT contest the first three rounds of the World MX2 Championship.Fans, KTM and the GP promoters will all be disappointed by the news, confirmed by Mattighofen Off-Road Sports Director, Pit Beirer: Unfortunately Tommy will not be coming to race in Europe.
"He and his manager have decided it is better for him to prepare for the US Nationals in America. The decision has nothing to do with difficulties in obtaining an entry for the GPs as speculated on some websites.”
Searle's manager is of course James Dobb, the 2001 World 125cc champion, who earns his daily bread as representative of Monster Energy, the main market rival of KTM sponsor Red Bull, and as middle-man between starry-eyed young Europeans and American race teams.
