THIS week's news (page 3) that Sheffield 2010 - Sheffield Arena on Saturday, January 9 - is now the opening round of the FIM World Indoor Trials Championship is good for spectators who now get to see a mighty10-rider line-up instead of seven!

The addition of experienced Spanish visitors Albert Cabestany, Jeroni Fajardo and up and coming French youth Loris Gubian should guarantee an action-packed Qualifying session - and at time of going to press we don't even know how many riders are wanted for the final. However many it is, there's going to be more who don't make it than those who do!

Dougie Lampkin, James Dabill, Michael Brown and Alexz Wigg are all still in it to win it but their chances of making the cut are now that much less so they will just have to raise their game. And they are all up for it.

With Scottish street bicycling sensation, YouTube star Danny MacAskill providing the half time entertainment Sheffield has suddenly upped the pace so don't miss out on a thrilling start to 2010.

Albert Cabestany and Takahisa Fujinami are pictured at Sheffield earlier this year.
