MRS staged their 11th annual Open Day last Saturday (only foot and mouth and swine flu have curtailed this extravaganza) at the superb Harefield Hall, Pateley Bridge venue in Yorkshire.

No fewer than 17 Sherco test bikes were ridden, thrashed, and crashed. In total the MRS team worked their way through a mighty 350 test rides.

Starting at 8.30am, the day ended nine hours later with bikes supplied by MRS, AG Bikes, B & B Road and Trials, BVM, Colin Appleyard Motor Cycles, Splat Products, Trials UK, Triple D and Willie Gillespie and his Off Road Motorcycles Plus (the latter making a 3am start from Dundee), Dave Clarke Racing, Andy Metcalfe Motor Cycles and Eddie Aitken Motor Cycles.British Ladies Champion Becky Cook fronted the BVM stand and theSherco range of 125, 250 and 290cc machines were all available.

Chief technician and trials tuning legend Josep Paxau flew in from Spain with Export Manager Arnau Viradell and Promotions and Press executive Stephanie Tessier and all enjoyed a weekend in Nidderdale. They were mainly responsible for wall to wall sunshine!

Malcolm Rathmell laid on tests in the Harefield woods.

The evening entertainment then followed the now ‘normal' pattern, led by the inimitable Killer Kendrew with X Factor star, trials rider and talented singer Katy Bullock providing the music.
