The Catalonian Sherco factory, situated near Barcelona in Caldes de Montbu has recently announced the latest version of its always popular Cabestany Replica.
Albert "Cabes” Cabestany claimed a fine second place in the latest version of the X-Trial series (World Indoor Trials Championship) and in recognition of this fine achievement Sherco has released the 2012 Albert Cabestany Replica.
This is a tribute to the perfection required in a discipline as refined as International Trials competition and is is of course also a result of constant evolution and component improvement in the field of competition, where small details are of paramount importance.
The 2013 Cabestany Replica is based on features that Albert has tested and proven in competition and it is an exclusive motorcycle, which makes this annual series one of the most anticipated of the year.
It will surely satisfy its users, whether they are competing in serious trials events at National or International level or riding at a more modest club level
The appearance of the bike is differentiated from the rest of the Sherco ST family with its elegant red, black and white colors along with gold rims.
The latest Sherco models are now well established with their rear mounted fuel tanks and well protected high-mounted air-filters.
Beneath the slim profile of the bodywork body lies a more powerful two-stroke engine.
The Replica is powered by a 300 cc motor that is EXCLUSIVE to this model and it is identical to the one used by Albert.
The cylinder head and CDI are unique as is the new titanium exhaust header.
The model also incorporates a new engine stop switch that shuts off the engine in the case of a fall by the rider.
The Cabestany also features low profile handlebars.
The clutch and transmission assembly have also received updates while the new rear sprocket is lighter and also sports an anti abrasion coating.
