AT just five-and-a-half-years-old, Mia Lovett from Wimborne is not only one of the youngest members but one of a steadily-increasing number of young girls who are going motocross bike mad and joining in with their local Ringwood Schoolboy Motocross Club (MCF).
Mia – like several others in her age class the Cadets (Auto 50cc) – was overwhelmed when it was announced the Ringwood club's governing body the MC Federation allowed members that young to race.
So Mia has ditched any ideas of an all-girls orientated sport and plunged straight in at the deep end with her motocross which she absolutely loves.
Trophies and awards have already started to find their way back into the Lovett household, with elder sister Kira also racing with the Ringwood club in the Junior 65cc group.
Little Mia has someone to look up to and no doubt track tactics are always being shared.
Mia and Kira's next race action for the Ringwood Schoolboy Motocross Club (MCF) will be at the Tony Moto MX Park, Winchester, Hants, on Sunday, July 15.
