Maxxis moves on

The Maxxis ACU British MX Championship is in full swing now and round six of the series will take place at the impressive Hawkstone Park circuit in Shropshire, on July 29.
Salop Motor Club is once again in full preparation mode for the event and is eager to put on a stunning event at one of the most popular tracks on the championship calendar.
The previous round at Desertmartin, produced some fantastic racing as Kevin Strijbos took the overall MX1 win and reclaimed the points lead.
In MX2, Mel Pocock took top spot on the podium and closed the gap on series leader Elliott Banks-Browne.
The racing is set to be thrilling atHawkstone Park with two MX1 and MX2 races, plus the second of the combined races, which will see the top MX2 riders battle against the top MX1 contenders.
Round six of the series also features the second round of both the British Veteran Championship and the MXY85 class.
In the Veteran category Phil Mercer currently leads the series following the opening round at FatCat, with reigning champ Greg Hanson second, from Gary Hoptrough.
The opening round of the newly instigated MXY85 series took place atMilton Park and after some fantastic racing Will Keogh took the win from Todd Kellett and Jordan Eccles.
The one major doubt for the Hawkstone event will be current second placed MX1 man Matiss Karro, who had a huge
qualifying crash at the Swedish Motocross GP and suffered a back injury and concussion.
Tickets cost £20 for Adults and £5 for children under 14. Camping is £10 per pitch and opens from Saturday July 28.
