Sidecars go for Silver

The third round of the Maxxis British Sidecar-cross championship will take place at Little Silver Moto Parc this Sunday, April 25, organised by Little Silver MXC.

Nearly 30 of the top sidecar drivers in the country will contest the three legs on a circuit that has never hosted sidecar racing before.

Leading the championship after the first two rounds are Stuart Brown/ Luke Peters who are 20-points ahead of Scott Wilkinson/ David Keane. A further 19-points adrift are the Millard brothers, Daniel and Joe. Making his first appearance in the championship will be the son of former multi-British champion Chris Etheridge, Jack, with his passenger Lewis Luxford. The pairing are currently second in the Clubman Championship.

At the time of writing it is still unclear as to who will be passengering Dean Hyde. His regular passenger, Steve Kirwin, will be out of action for about three-months having sustained a serious shoulder injury in Holland recently.

Also on the race programme are MX3 and Under 23 solos. Practice starts at 9.30am with the first race due at 12 noon.

The circuit will be signposted from the A38 at Kennford and for those with SatNav the post code is EX6 7UD.

Admission for adults is 10, while children are 5.
