Stand and deliver

ALEXZ Wigg led the infamous STAND-ON-IT team to a fantastic win in the recent superb but hard Jersey two day trial. Alex led from start to finish in the Expert class, backed up in second place by British Novagar Champion James Fry with Southern Superstar Andy Blackman in third place to complete a 1-2-3 and win the coveted Stroud Valley team award. The STAND-ON-IT Intermedi-ate 50/50 team repeated the success with Dave Clinkard, Guy Chandler and Chris Heane coming home with a 123 and the 50/50 Team award.
Unfortunately, the clubman STAND-ON-IT team of James Ray, Nick Heane and Dave Fry could only record (after a recount) second place in the Mendip Vale Trophy team award which was won by the Jersey team.
However, the story of the weekend of fun was still not finished, as at the time of writing (Wednesday, November 12) Andy Blackman, Guy Chandler and Martin Hawes were still stuck on the Island with their vans and bikes etc. They were promised a place and should have reached land on Thursday morning.
Clean underwear was becoming an issue!
