Stars sign for Hawkstone

SOME of the World's best moto-crossers have signed up for the International Motocross meeting at Hawkstone Park on March 7.

World MX1 number two, Max Nagl, is just one of the top names who has confirmed he will be racing at Hawkstone onboard his Red Bull KTM. He will be joined in MX1 by Kevin Strijbos on his newly formed Bo Racing KTM, Strijbos, who was ruled out for most of the 2008 and 2009 season due to injury will be hoping to make a big impact with his new set up.

Former 125cc and MX1 World Champion, Steve Ramon, will also be in action for the Teka Suzuki team and he will be joined by team-mate and 2009 World MX1 number three, Clement Desalle. The pairing will be out in force and will mean business!

Marc de Reuver on the Beursfoon Suzuki will be back racing after being sidelined for a large portion of 2009 with a serious back injury which he sustained in July.

A whole host of top British riders will also be battling it out for the top honours. The Buildbase CCM Team comprising 2009 British MX2 Champion, Stephen Sword, and MX1 front runner in 2009, Tom Church. James Noble, runner-up in the 2009 British MX1 series will be in the

running on his proppa.com Honda alongside team-mate Nathan Parker.

There is a large British entry in the MX2 class including DB Racing's Elliott Banks-Browne, Road & Track Yamaha Alex Rockwell, 2009 British MMX Champion Kristian Whatley on the LPE Kawasaki.

The Buff Husqvarna team has entered its three riders Lewis Rose, 2009 BYMX and MXY2 Champion Josh Waterman and Luke Burton.

Rising star Ken Roczen is one of the biggest international names to sign up for Hawkstone so far in the MX2 class, 16-year-old former Belgian 65cc and 85cc Champion, Jens Getteman, will also be making his UK debut.

With new names coming onboard on a daily basis the event is yet again set to be another stunning early season event, where we will get a chance to study the form and preparedness of the big names.
