YAMAHA rider, James Stewart was on top form once again this weekend at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas where he took a convincing double win in the Rockstar Energy Drink US Open Supercross in his debut ride on the 2010 reverse-head Yamaha YZ450F.
Following a good qualifying round on Saturday, Stewart started the main race in much the same way as he got a great start and began to pull a steady lead on the chasing pack. Hondas Dan Reardon did his best to stay with Stewart, as he managed to keep him in his sights for the first few laps before Stewart pulled away and Davi Millsaps closed in. As Stewart cruised to an easy win Millsaps and Reardon battled for second, before Millsaps put in a calculated pass to take an easy second. Meanwhile after qualifying as a Last Chance Qualifier, Yamaha rider Matt Goerke put in a solid performance to take fourth on the night.
As night two began at the MGM Grand, it was that man James Stewart who ended the weekend on a high with another win. However this time Stewart had to work to claim the main prize.
