Taddy takes a good Wash
By TMX Archives on 26th Oct 12

With just two events remaining in the 2012 US Endurocross championship, KTMs Taddy Blazusiak claimed an important win at the sixth round in Everett, Washington over the weekend and moved one-step closer to yet another EnduroX title.
Winner of both the fourth and fifth rounds, Taddy maintained his winning momentum in Everett to secure another important victory.
Although made to work hard during the opening laps of the main event, he kept himself out of trouble during the ten-lap race to once again stand on top of the podium and claim the 30 points on offer.
Recording the fastest time during the qualifying ‘Hot Laps' session, Blazusiak also topped his heat race to move into the final confident of a good result.
Starting well Taddy dropped in behind Cody Webb for several laps before taking the lead following a mistake by his closest series rival.
Well aware that valuable championship points were at stake, Taddy cautiously made his way through the second half of the race and following a second mistake by Webb, secured a comfortable win.
He was joined on the podium by Taylor Robert (Kawasaki) and Bobby Prochnau (KTM). Meanwhile, Webb could only finish tenth – worth 11 points.
Taddy Blazusiak said "Getting another win is great, especially as we're getting close to the end of the series now. It was a good night for me.
The ‘Hot Lap' session and my heat race went well, and I won the final – I can't really ask for more than that.
‘‘It's kind of a difficult position to be in, knowing you're leading the series and that taking good championship points is more important than winning races.
"I felt like I rode well, but not at my best. I enjoyed the final, and am now a little further ahead in the championship.
Just like the weeks leading up to this race I'll now take a little time to rest, and then get back to racing at the next event and hopefully be able to get another win.”
