KTM Enduro Team Red Bull rider, Taddy Blazusiak, claimed his second straight US Endurocross round victory following a dominant win in Guthrie, Oklahoma.Forced to fight hard for the win at the series opener in Las Vegas, the Polish rider had a much easier time of things second time out as he was never headed during the main event.Taddy now holds a comfortable lead in the series standings.
Second quickest during the ‘hot lap' session, Taddy made light work of his heat race to pass through into the main event with ease. One-year on from the serious crash that put him out of competition for several months, Taddy was well and truly back to his best.
Missing out on claiming the holeshot in the main event by half-a-wheel, the KTM rider took little time to move into the lead and he quickly set about distancing himself from his rivals. Steadily edging ahead Blazusiak was never headed during the final and having made very few mistakes, he claimed the chequered flag close to half-a-lap ahead of his nearest competitor.
With just under a month until the US Endurocross series moves on to South Carolina on September 12, Taddy plans to head home to Poland for a little rest before returning to the States in the hope of making it three-from-three in the series.
"The whole night went perfectly to be honest,”explained Taddy.
"My hot lap was good enough for second fastest, less than half-a-second behind Mike Brown and about three-seconds faster than the third man. My heat race went perfectly. I got the holeshot and then rode smart and smooth.
"I just missed the holeshot in the main. I was leading by the second corner and after that I again just tried to stay smooth. I think I made one small mistake, but apart from that everything went well.
