ALL roads for motocross fans lead to Duns, just into the Scottish Border region, this Sunday where two potential British Champions could emerge.Round seven of the ACU Maxxis British Motocross Championship visits the superb Langdon Lees circuit for the first time, which marks the end to a 17-year drought of top class action in Scotland.
In the MX2 class, the exiled, but still extremely popular Scot, Stephen Sword will need to score just six-more points than his KTM counterpart, Jake Nicholls, to secure the title.
It has been a mixed season for Sword, who, having scored six race wins has also suffered some niggling injuries which has caused him to sit out some recent GP's in order to be fit for his prime target to become British Champion again!
South African, Neville Bradshaw currently holds third, just five-points behind Nicholls.
Shaun Simpson also makes a welcome return after his enforced injury and could well play a part in the outcome.
However, it is the MX1 class which is likely to cause most interest. Brad Anderson needs to beat Gareth Swanepoel, whose season has really come alight recently, especially in the GP's.
The South African virtually accused Anderson of being a moving road-block at the previous round. Game on! was declared at the podium presentation, so expect the fireworks to relight between these two in both 30-minute races.
Carl Nunn and James Noble are locked in their own private battle for third spot and while Noble has changed machines mid-season, Nunn has found some good form recently. This included passing all of the front runners at Foxhill one-month ago.
The Duns venue is easily reached via the main A1 or A7 trunk roads. The first of six races will start at 12.30pm while early arrivals can watch the qualifying sessions from 9.30am.
For Sat Nav users the postcode is TD11 3NS.
