WITH several national series running this Summer, the BSMA, with feedback from competitors and clubs has decided to reduce the registration fee for the 'Best of British' series to £50.
With careful consultation the newly formed BSMA national series sub-committee have taken this decision to ensure that the Best of British series is accessible to all.
Many riders and parents are put off from taking part by the high registration fees demanded by some series promoters, and the BSMA has always prided itself in being an organisation run by its clubs for its members so this step will hopefully remove some of the monetary barriers facing some would be National level riders.
For those who have already registered for the championship, a refund can be made to you by way of credit against the price of forthcoming rounds or by reimbursement for the difference.
It was also agreed that it will be necessary for all riders to supply a marshal as in past years at the championship rounds in 2008, so riders should be aware of this and plan ahead for now.
There will be no change to dates, venue or medical cover to accommodate the reduced registration fee and entry and payment will now be co-ordinated directly by the hosting club to make the organisation of the rounds more efficient.
The BSMA Best of British National Series has evolved over the years and it still continuing to ensure that riders are able to compete at national level in a safe, competitive and cost effective way.
