Time for Hewitt XC Series awards

FOLLOWING a very successful 2007 Hewitt National Cross Country Series, it was time to hand out the awards.So, on Saturday, January 19, at the plush Alexandra House Hotel and Conference Centre, near Swindon, the organising Midwest MCC duly obliged.
With over 100 guests present, the top ten overall over the eight-round series received their just rewards.
In the Expert class a total of £2,000 was donated by title sponsor Hewitt International Salvage while each remaining group enjoyed a total of £1,000 in vouchers donated by respective sponsors SixSixOne, Putoline, Pirelli, WRP and Rush Racing.
On completion of the awards presentation and before the all important dancing started, Simon Molter thanked all the organising club officials, helpers and riders for their support during 2007.
For the upcoming new season, the Hewitt National Cross-Country series will feature some new venues, a new riding group and an increase in entry levels.
