Up to 'speed in Latvia

Round six of the UEM Goldspeed European Quadcross series headed to the beautiful track of Kegums, in Latvia. Only 22 riders made their way to Kegums. Included in the line-up were four British riders, Paul Holmes, James Hellewell, Liam Cater and Tom Grant.
Race one got under way with Paul Holmes taking the holeshot but right behind him was fellow Brit James Hellewell. Holmes had a good lead mid race but Romain Couprie passed Hellwell and went to Holmes. Liam Cater lying 12th mid race, dropped a few spots. Tom Grant Grant did not finish due to bike problems. Couprie caught and passed Holmes to take the win, Paul Holmes was second, third was Jans Vlaymans. Hellewell was fourth.
Race two saw Romain Couprie in the lead with Paul Holmes in his wheel-tracks. Hellewell got a good start in fourth.
After two laps Holmes' wheel fell off which meant a DNF for him. Hellewell got himself to third and stayed there the rest of the race. Liam Cater and Tom Grant were further down the field. Romain Couprie took the second race with Jan Ulaymans second and James Hellewell third.
Paul Holmes won race three, catching and passing Couprie for the win.
