WORTHING Trials Club held one of its very popular Weavers and Wobblers Trial at Barfield Farm, Charlwood, on Saturday.

The weather was perfect and there were lots of smiling faces at the finish. On the start list were four first timers and five lady riders
Section one went across a log and up and down a small gully. Jonathan Redman was far too quick and had to paddle around for a three. Beta-mounted John Bragg fought hard to keep his balance and escaped with just the one mark.
Section two involved a ride across a grass bank. Steve Alexander, riding his first trial was spot on line and posted a clean. Next through was Sam Green. She rode it faster but achieved the same result – a clean on her punch card.
Section three was alongside a pond. With some great throttle control Mark Stubberfield had an ace clean ride. Richard Evans tried to follow Steve's line and also sailed through clean.
Section number four was where Joel Manthorpe missed a marker and incurred an unwanted five. Jess Fry tried a tighter line around the tree and got away with a one.
On the Yellow route both Adam Manthorpe and Sean Alexander just had enough speed to conquer the bank without spinning and both looked very stylish in the process.
The tight turn on section five caught out almost all the Blue route riders. Carl Challen was almost there but over cooked the turn, resulting in a quick dab. Danny Green wasn't so lucky requiring a three.
On the Red route here, young Chris Warren was superb. He has really improved since the summer.
The final section involved turns in some trees. David Bragg was back in winning form after a years absence in the Adult Yellow route. Lady riders, Kate Stalker and Catherine Ross both guided their bikes to cleans on the Red route.
A very enjoyable day by the Worthing club.
