This year the Kingsteignton-based firm of Phoenix Tools, which is owned by former rider Barry Moore, will once again sponsor the West of England Club's annual Patchquick Motocross.
BJ's Mobile Catering and Springbok Fencing and Welding will also be supporting the event. Barry Williams of BJ's Catering is a long-time supporter of motorcycle sport. Jacques Dutoit of Springbok Fencing erected all the fencing on the newly designed Whiteway Circuit which will now be known as the Phoenix Moto Park.
The event will run at the Phoenix Moto Park, Whiteway Barton, Kingsteignton, Devon, on the evening of Wednesday, June 30, with the first race starting at 6.30pm.
The venue is run by Barry Moore and former world motocross champion, Dave Thorpe, Back in March they hired renowned track builder Johnny Douglas-Hamilton to redesign the circuit which, apart from the start, now runs in the opposite direction and includes more jumps. Over the last month a lot of fresh soil has been laid  on the track.
There is over £4,000 in prize money available, with three 20-minute plus one-lap races open to Experts. There will be £400 to the winner of each race and cash down to tenth place. The overall winner will take the famous Patchquick Trophy.
Also on offer will be £50 for the best South Western Centre resident in each race and the Ford Trophy to the overall winner. Juniors will have two races paying £50 down to eighth place.
